About the role
We are seeking a Recruiter who will play a pivotal role in building RHIA's world-class team. As one of our first talent acquisition specialists, you will manage the full-cycle recruitment process for a variety of roles across the company – from engineering and product to sales and operations. You will develop proactive sourcing strategies to attract top-tier global talent, with a particular emphasis on candidates who thrive in SaaS, travel, and AI-driven environments. This role goes beyond traditional recruiting; you'll act as a talent advisor to our hiring managers, champion our employer brand, and ensure that our hiring practices scale efficiently as we grow.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with founders and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and define role requirements for multiple departments (technical, commercial, and operational positions).
- Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of diverse, high-caliber candidates, utilizing platforms such as LinkedIn, industry networks, referrals, and university outreach.
- Leverage advanced recruitment technologies, including AI-driven sourcing tools and applicant tracking systems (ATS), to identify, engage, and screen candidates efficiently.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: post job openings, conduct initial resume and phone screenings, coordinate interviews (remote and on-site), gather interviewer feedback, and guide candidates through the offer and hiring process.
- Ensure an excellent candidate experience at every step – communicating promptly, providing feedback, and representing RHIA's values and vision to all applicants.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to refine and improve recruitment processes, interview techniques, and evaluation criteria that support unbiased and effective hiring decisions.
- Build RHIA’s employer brand by crafting compelling job descriptions, promoting our culture on social media and professional networks, and organizing or participating in recruiting events and career fairs.
- Track and analyze key recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, source effectiveness, pipeline diversity) and use data insights to continually optimize our talent acquisition strategy.
- Stay up-to-date on talent market trends, particularly in the technology and travel sectors, and advise the team on competitive hiring intelligence (compensation benchmarks, in-demand skills, talent availability).
- Contribute to onboarding planning by coordinating closely with HR to ensure new hires have a smooth transition into the company.
Requirements
- Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience as a recruiter or talent acquisition specialist, with a track record of hiring for a range of roles (including technical positions) in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with modern recruiting tools and methods: proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems and sourcing platforms; comfort with AI-based recruitment tools for resume screening, candidate matching, or outreach automation.
- Strong ability to proactively source and engage passive candidates through creative outreach and networking; familiarity with Boolean search techniques and other advanced sourcing methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively pitch opportunities to candidates and build relationships at all levels.
- Experience recruiting in the tech startup or SaaS industry - understanding the profiles and skills needed for a product-focused company and enthusiasm for technology and innovation in recruitment.
- Ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously and prioritize tasks, maintaining attention to detail and a high standard of candidate experience.
- Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in recruitment, ensuring compliance and fairness throughout the hiring process.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential candidate information.
- Nice to have:- Experience in recruiting for the travel or hospitality industry, or hiring talent with travel-tech domain expertise.
- Nice to have:- Previous experience scaling recruitment efforts in a startup from early stages through growth phases, or experience at a recruiting agency with high-growth tech clients.
- Nice to have:- Familiarity with global hiring practices and markets; experience sourcing candidates internationally across different regions and cultures.
- Nice to have:- An existing network of professionals in technology, sales, or other relevant fields that can be tapped for talent leads.
- Nice to have:- Certification in talent acquisition or HR (e.g., LinkedIn Certified Professional-Recruiter, AIRS certification, or SHRM) is a plus.
- Nice to have:- Passion for employer branding and creative initiatives that showcase company culture (experience with recruitment marketing content or campus recruitment programs, for example).
- Nice to have:- Fluency in multiple languages, which can aid in engaging a global talent pool and recruiting across borders.
