Qualifications

• Clear written and verbal communication in local languages and English.
• Experience in microfinance, banking, NBFCs, or field-based collections is advantageous.
• On-site work with regular field visits and effective time/territory management.
• Preferred: diploma or bachelor’s in finance, commerce, business or related field.
• Familiarity with basic computer applications and reporting tools.

Role Description

The Recovery Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in West Bengal, India. This role involves managing and executing debt recovery activities, including follow-ups with customers, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring timely collections in line with organizational policies and regulatory guidelines. The Recovery Officer will maintain accurate records of recovery actions, prepare reports on portfolio performance, and coordinate with internal teams and banking partners to resolve issues. Daily responsibilities include engaging with customers in a professional manner, providing clarity on repayment obligations, addressing concerns, and promoting responsible financial behavior. The role requires regular field visits, adherence to ethical collection practices, and contribution to overall portfolio health and risk mitigation.

• Candidates should possess Debt Collection experience and practical knowledge of Finance to manage recoveries and understand repayment structures.

• Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills in relevant local languages and English.
• Relevant experience in microfinance, banking, NBFCs, or field-based collection operations is highly beneficial.
