Job summary

Devana Ventures Private Limited is hiring a Quantity Surveyor / Billing Engineer for a full-time on-site role at a 135-key hotel project in Mahadevapura, Bengaluru. You will lead quantity surveying, billing and cost control activities through handover.

The candidate should have 3–6 years of on-site billing experience on RCC structures, with strong rate analysis and proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD. Kannada knowledge preferred for site coordination.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering is required.
• 3–6 years of hands‑on site billing and quantity surveying experience on building projects.
• Experience on RCC structure works — residential high‑rise, commercial or hospitality.
• Strong rate analysis capability.
• Advanced MS Excel; AutoCAD for take-offs.
• Willing to be based full‑time at the Mahadevapura site.

Responsibilities

• Quantity take-offs from drawings and live BOQ maintenance.
• Prepare and certify contractor RA bills across civil, MEP and finishes packages.
• Verify site measurements with contractors and cross-check abstracts.
• Provide rate analysis for non-BOQ and extra items.
• Reconcile materials against theoretical consumption.
• Maintain retention, advance recovery and stage release schedules.
• Prepare monthly cost‑to‑complete and budget variance reports.
• Support procurement RFQ quantity schedules and vendor comparisons.
• Maintain billing records, measurement books and supporting docs.
• Coordinate with structural, architectural and MEP consultants.

About the role

Devana Ventures Private Limited is looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Billing Engineer to be based full-time at a 135-key hotel project under construction at Mahadevapura, East Bengaluru. The project is a conventional RCC structure currently in substructure and superstructure works, being developed for an international hotel operator.

You will work directly with the development management team and be responsible for all quantity, billing and cost control activity on site through to project handover.

Key responsibilities

• Quantity take-offs from GFC/IFC drawings and maintenance of the live BOQ against drawing revisions
• Preparation and certification of contractor RA bills across civil, MEP and finishes packages
• Independent verification of site measurements joint measurement with contractors, not acceptance of contractor abstracts
• Rate analysis for non-BOQ and extra items
• Material reconciliation for client-supplied steel, cement and RMC against theoretical consumption
• Maintenance of retention, advance recovery and stage release schedules as per work order terms
• Preparation of monthly cost-to-complete and budget variance reports
• Support to procurement RFQ quantity schedules, comparative statements, vendor rate comparisons
• Maintenance of billing records, measurement books and supporting documentation
• Coordination with structural consultant, architect and MEP consultants on quantity and specification queries

Candidate requirements

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• 3–6 years of hands–on site billing and quantity surveying experience on building projects
• Experience on RCC structure works — residential high‑rise, commercial or hospitality
• Strong rate analysis capability
• Advanced MS Excel; AutoCAD for take-offs
• Willing to be based full-time at the Mahadevapura site
• Kannada working knowledge preferred for site coordination

• Client or developer-side experience
• Exposure to hotel, hospitality or branded projects
• Familiarity with MEP quantity surveying
