Job summary

Onefold Designs in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to lead BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and end-to-end tendering for premium commercial interiors. You will coordinate with Design, Procurement, Projects, and MEP teams to support accurate estimation and project execution.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of QS experience in commercial interior fit-outs and strong proficiency in AutoCAD, PlanSwift, and CostX.

Qualifications

  • BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, estimation, tendering, and cost control.
  • Experience in commercial interior fit-out, corporate offices or turnkey projects preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, market rates, contracts and commercial terms.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
  • Handle end-to-end tendering activities including tender documentation, bid preparation, technical and commercial evaluations, and bid submissions.
  • Float enquiries, obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors, and perform comparative statement analysis.
  • Conduct rate analysis, cost planning, budgeting, and value engineering.
  • Review tender documents, identify project risks, exclusions, and commercial deviations.
  • Prepare project budgets, monitor costs, and track budget vs. actual expenditures.
  • Process client billing, subcontractor billing, RA bills, and final account settlements.
  • Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Projects, and MEP teams for accurate estimation and execution support.
  • Maintain a database of material, labour, and subcontractor rates.
  • Support contract administration, variation orders, change management, and claim preparation.

Preferred candidate profile
  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • 510 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Tendering.
  • Experience in commercial interior fit-out, corporate offices, or turnkey projects is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, estimation, tendering, and cost control.
  • Experience in preparing client quotations, vendor comparisons, and subcontractor work orders.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and MS Office. Knowledge of PlanSwift, Bluebeam, CostX, or similar QS software is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, market rates, contracts, and commercial terms.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
