Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Experience with CNC/VMC machining processes and setup.
• Ability to read tolerances and inspection requirements from drawings.
• Familiarity with the 7 QC Tools and basic problem-solving methods.
• Good observational and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify machining defects and process anomalies.
• Basic computer skills to maintain inspection records and logs.
• Effective coordination with Production and Quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup and in-process inspection of machined components.
• Inspect components per engineering drawings, specifications, control plans, and inspection standards.
• Check critical dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, threads, chamfers, holes, and other characteristics.
• Verify machine setup and component dimensions during production.
• Identify and segregate OK / Rework / Rejection components.
• Maintain in-process inspection reports, rejection records, and quality documents.
• Follow Control Plan, SOP, Work Instructions, Inspection Standards, and Quality Procedures.
• Monitor process parameters and special characteristics where applicable.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for recurring defects.
• Maintain 5S, safety and workplace discipline; support ISO/IATF quality requirements as applicable.
