Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Purpose
To ensure that in-process and finished products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and defined quality requirements by performing visual and dimensional inspections. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for identifying and segregating non-conforming parts, maintaining inspection records, and promptly reporting quality issues to the concerned Quality / Production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection of in-process and finished components as per engineering drawings, specifications, Control Plans, and inspection standards.
- Inspect components using appropriate gauges, measuring instruments, fixtures, and inspection equipment.
- Measure and verify critical dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Plug Gauges, Snap Gauges, Dial Gauge, Bore Gauge, and other relevant measuring instruments.
- Readandinterpret engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances, specifications, and inspection requirements.
- Identify, segregate, and properly mark OK / NOK parts and record rejection reasons.
- Follow defined sampling plans, AQL requirements, Control Plans, and inspection procedures during inspection activities.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports, measurement sheets, rejection records, and product traceability documents.
- Check packing quality, product identification, labels, quantity, and dispatch readiness before product release.
- Identify and immediately report non-conformities, process deviations, and repeated defects to the Quality Engineer / Quality Manager and Production team.
- Verify the calibration status of gauges and measuring instruments before use and report any expired, damaged, or abnormal instruments.
- Support the Quality team in basic defect analysis and Why-Why Analysis for repeated quality issues when required.
- Ensureproper5S,housekeeping, safety, and discipline in the inspection and shop-floor areas.
Required Skills & Competencies

Qualification & Experience Qualification:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Quality
- Experience: 3-5 years in Quality inspection (preferably in auto components / machining / stamping parts)
