Role & responsibilities
Inspect incoming raw materials, bought-out parts, and components for your category against engineering drawings, specifications, and approved samples before release to production
- Draw samples and accept, reject, or hold lots as per IS 2500 / ANSI Z1.4 sampling plans; tag and segregate non conforming material so nothing slips through.
- Read engineering drawings and GD&T callouts, and verify critical dimensions using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and go/no-go gauges.
- Maintain inspection reports, checksheets, rejection logs, and traceability records in line with ISO 9001 QMS requirements, with data tracked in MS Excel.
- Log and trend incoming rejections by supplier and defect type, using 7 QC tools to surface repeat issues before they become recurring costs.
- Raise non-conformance reports, share defect evidence with suppliers and the SQA team, and verify corrective actions on subsequent lots
- Workclosely with production, stores, and purchase teams to clear material holds quickly and flag quality risks before they reach the line.

- Workingknowledge of sampling as per IS 2500 / ANSI Z1.4, inspection documentation, and MS Excel.
