Job summary

Jindal Realty Ltd. is seeking a experienced QA/QC professional to monitor and enforce quality across civil, structural and finishing works at the project site.

You will inspect workmanship, verify materials, and coordinate with execution teams to assure compliance with drawings, specifications and ITPs. The role requires 5–12 years of QA/QC experience in large construction and real estate projects, with knowledge of non-conformity handling and quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (B.Tech / BE / Diploma).
• 5–12 years of QA/QC experience in real estate, residential, commercial or large construction projects.
• ISO 9001 quality management knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily QA/QC inspections of civil, structural and finishing works per drawings, specs and ITPs.
• Review and verify workmanship, materials and test reports for conformance.
• Implement Inspection & Test Plans and quality checklists at site.
• Raise NCRs and track corrective actions to closure.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Job Purpose

To ensure effective implementation and monitoring of Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems across civil, structural and finishing works at the project site. The role is responsible for inspections, material and workmanship verification, quality documentation, identification and closure of non-conformities, and coordination with Site Execution teams, Contractors and Consultants to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs and applicable standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Quality Inspection & Control

• Conduct day-to-day inspections of civil, structural and finishing works as per approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements and quality standards.
• Carry out stage-wise inspections and ensure required inspections are completed before proceeding to subsequent activities.
• Verify workmanship and construction practices against approved requirements and project quality standards.
• Monitor critical activities such as reinforcement, shuttering/formwork, concreting, masonry, waterproofing, plastering, flooring, tiling, painting and other finishing works.
• Ensure quality requirements are consistently followed across assigned project areas.

B. Material Quality & Testing

• Inspect and verify incoming construction materials against approved specifications, purchase requirements and material approval documents.
• Ensure required material testing is conducted through approved laboratories/agencies.
• Review test reports and ensure materials meet specified quality requirements before use.
• Monitor concrete, steel, cement, aggregates, blocks, waterproofing materials, finishing materials and other project-critical materials.
• Maintain records of material inspections, test certificates and approvals.

C. ITP, Method Statements & Drawings

• Implement approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality checklists at site.
• Review drawings, specifications and method statements to identify applicable quality requirements.
• Coordinate with the execution team to ensure inspections are planned and conducted at the required stages.
• Ensure inspection requests are raised and closed in accordance with project procedures.
• Highlight discrepancies between drawings, specifications and site execution to the concerned stakeholders.

D. NCR & Quality Observations

• Identify deviations, defects and non-conformities during site inspections.
• Raise NCRs, observations and quality alerts wherever required.
• Coordinate with Site Execution teams and Contractors for root-cause identification and corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor corrective actions and verify the effectiveness of rectification before closure.
• Maintain proper records of NCRs, observations and their closure status.
• Escalate recurring or critical quality issues to the reporting manager/project management team.

E. Quality Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain inspection reports, checklists, test reports, material inspection records, pour cards and other quality-related documentation.
• Maintain updated records of NCRs, observations, corrective actions and closures.
• Prepare periodic quality reports highlighting inspections conducted, major observations, pending actions and quality concerns.
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality records for assigned project areas.
• Support preparation of quality-related documents required for internal reviews, audits and project handover.

F. Site Coordination

• Coordinate closely with Site Execution teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and implemented.
• Work with Contractors and Sub-Contractors to resolve quality-related issues at site.
• Coordinate with Consultants for inspections, approvals and resolution of technical quality matters.
• Participate in pre-inspection meetings, quality review meetings and site coordination meetings.
• Provide necessary quality inputs to the execution team without affecting project progress.

G. Quality Assurance & Process Improvement

• Support implementation and continuous improvement of the project's Quality Management System.
• Identify recurring quality issues and recommend preventive measures.
• Promote first-time-right execution and reduction of rework.
• Conduct quality awareness sessions/toolbox talks for site teams and contractors wherever required.
• Support implementation of standard quality practices across different project areas.

H. Audits & Compliance

• Support internal, consultant and external quality audits.
• Ensure project activities and documentation comply with applicable codes, standards, approved specifications and company quality procedures.
• Assist in closing audit observations within agreed timelines.
• Maintain readiness of quality records and supporting documents for inspections and audits.

I. Handover & Snagging

• Participate in inspection and snagging activities for completed works.
• Coordinate with execution teams and contractors for timely rectification of identified defects.
• Verify closure of snags before final acceptance/handover.
• Ensure required quality documentation is complete and available for project handover.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualification

• B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Additional certification in Quality Management / Construction Quality / ISO 9001 will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 5-12 years of relevant experience in QA/QC, preferably in real estate, residential, commercial or large-scale construction projects.
