Job summary

Macquarie Group in India is seeking a DevOps/Data Engineer to build applications and data pipelines within an agile framework. You will own end‑to‑end delivery, collaborating with global engineers and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver cost‑effective solutions.

The role expects hands-on experience with Python, data pipelines, and microservices in a DevOps setup, plus familiarity with serverless tech, Airflow, BigQuery and DBT. Hybrid work is supported.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Python, data pipelines and microservices in a DevOps setup.
• Exposure to serverless technologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Linux, shell scripting, load balancing, and basic networking.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow, BigQuery and DBT.
• Understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies and design patterns.
• Ability to troubleshoot and support stakeholders in a DevOps environment.
• Finance industry experience, preferably in asset management.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will be working within an agile framework, defining business requirements, creating or improving solution design and architecture, and delivering cost‑effective solutions. You will also have the opportunity to work with a broad range of engineers and business stakeholders across the globe and pick up finance acumen along the way.

What You Offer

• +3 years of hands‑on experience working with Python, building data pipelines and microservices in a DevOps setup.
• Exposure to Serverless technologies.
• Skills in CI/CD, containers, Apache Airflow, relational and NoSQL databases, monitoring, observability and secrets management are highly regarded.
• Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, load balancing and basic networking. Experience with Big Query & DBT.
