Job summary

Macquarie Group in Hyderabad, India is seeking a senior platform engineer to build and support the Amazon EKS platform, CI/CD pipelines, and related tooling. You will help deliver platform capabilities using AWS and Kubernetes, with opportunities on greenfield projects to transform how the business leverages the platform.

The ideal candidate has 9+ years of Linux and distributed-systems experience, strong AWS skills, and solid DevOps expertise in CI/CD pipelines and Argo tooling.

Qualifications

• 9+ years Linux and distributed systems experience.
• Strong AWS cloud engineering skills: EC2, EKS, S3, IAM and networking.
• DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines; ArgoCI/Argo Workflow; Terraform or CloudFormation a plus.
• Broad knowledge of design patterns for distributed apps.
• Good communication and ability to work independently; customer support a plus.

What role will you play?
In this role, you will help build and support the Amazon EKS platform, CI/CD pipelines, and other tools managed by the Enterprise Data Platform team. You will contribute to delivering new platform capabilities using AWS and Kubernetes technologies. Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to work on transformative greenfield projects that enhance the platform and the way the business leverages it.
What You Offer

• 9+ years of foundational experience of Linux, with strong interest in distributed systems and Kubernetes at scale
• Strong engineering experience in building cloud-based environments in AWS is essential. (EC2, EKS, S3, IAM and Network policies).
• Excellent skills in DevOps building CICD pipelines and experience with relevant tools such as ArgoCI, Argo Workflow. Terraform or Cloud Formation experience is a plus.
• A broad knowledge of technical solutions, design patterns, and code for complex applications deployed in a distributed computing environment is held.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently. Experience in customer support is a plus.
