Job summary

Ion Exchange India Ltd is seeking a procurement professional to manage electrical item sourcing for EPC projects in Mumbai. You will focus on cost-out opportunities, negotiate with suppliers, and support multiple business units to ensure best value with minimal risk.

You will review requisitions, prepare RFQs, evaluate bids, and coordinate with engineering and accounts. Strong experience with Oracle and MS Office is preferred for timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement for electrical items in EPC projects.
• Knowledge of RFQs, bid evaluation, and vendor shortlisting.
• Familiarity with Oracle system and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify vendors by researching product availability and market screening.
• Review IR/MR for correctness and completeness.
• Prepare RFQs and issue to vendors; expediting offers and clarifications with engineering.
• Review quotations for completeness and obtain missing information for bid evaluation.
• Prepare shortlisting notes based on bid tab and offers.
• Distribute technical offers to engineering and expedite TBE completeness.
• Maintain Inquiry Status register, Bid Clarifications Log, MSR, supplier payment lists, and MIS.
• Issue TQs to vendors and obtain clarifications.
• Arrange teleconferences and bid clarification meetings.
• Prepare commercial bid clarification requests and obtain responses.
• Obtain clear Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) from engineering.
• Coordinate with project team to close deviations to Terms & Conditions of Purchase.
• Prepare final scope of supply with discipline engineer.
• Coordinate commercial terms with accounts and suppliers.
• Make purchasing decisions per project strategy and policy.
• Comply with Procurement Policies and Procedures.
• Prepare comparative statements, Po terms and conditions, and PO in Oracle.
• Supplier selection/de-selection and base rationalization.
• Encourage early supplier involvement to optimize quality, delivery and manufacturability.
• Assist during audits and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Operate MS Office and other IT tools required for operation.
• Experience with Oracle system.

Job description

1. Candidate will be responsible for handling procurement for Electrical items which are required in EPC project and implementation to deliver best cost with minimum risk to Ion Exchange Business Units.

2. Focus on delivering Cost Out opportunities

3. Applies skillful negotiations with internal and external suppliers; conducts problem resolution and settles disputes; develops win/win solutions and creates positive Supplier.

4. Should be able to work on multiple BU’s simultaneously.

• Power , control and instrumentaion Cables.
• Solenoid valve and boxes.

Roles and Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Participate in identification of vendors by researching product availability and conducting market screening.
• Review Inquiry/ Material Requisitions (IR, MR) for correctness & completeness of documents.
• Prepare RFQs and issue to prospective vendors, expedite receipt of offers and coordinate offer clarifications with engineering.
• Review received quotations for completeness and obtain missing information and documents required for bid techno-commercial evaluation.
• Prepare shortlisting file note based on the preliminary bid tab & offers received.
• Distribute technical offers to engineering team and expedite completeness of Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE).
• Regular update and issuance of Inquiry Status register, Bid Clarifications Request Log, MSR, Payment list of supplier ,MIS etc
• Issue Technical Queries (TQ) received from engineering to the vendors and obtain appropriate clarifications.
• Arrange teleconference calls and bid clarification meetings with the vendors.
• Prepare and issue commercial bid clarification requests to the vendors and obtain appropriate response.
• Obtain a clear and complete Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) from engineering.
• Coordinate with project team to review and close-out of the exceptions and deviations to the Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) of Purchase.
• Prepare the final scope of supply in coordination with the discipline engineer.
• Detail knowledge of Commercial Terms also able to coordinate with Account for the commercial transaction .
• Make purchasing decisions based on project execution strategy, need and business policy.
• Comply, implement & adhere to the Procurement Policies and Procedures within the Project
• Preparation of Comparative statement ,Po term and condition and po in oracle system .
• Supplier selection/de-selection, evaluation and supply base rationalization.
• Promotes and monitors early supplier involvement in key product developments, using the supplier’s expertise to optimize quality, delivery and manufacturability.
• Participate and assist during internal and external audits and implement necessary actions to ensure compliance with procedures and policies.
• Operate Microsoft office applications and any other IT related software required for business operation.
• Required experience in oracle system .
