Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services is seeking a Procurement Engineer to manage procurement for Power T&D projects in Gurugram. The role covers substations, switchyards, transmission lines and renewable energy setups, with emphasis on RFQ analysis, vendor engagement, and techno-commercial evaluation.

The candidate will coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, and project teams, ensuring timely material delivery while maintaining documentation in ERP/SAP systems and ensuring technical compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in procurement for substations, switchyards, transmission lines, solar, wind, BESS, or other power infrastructure projects.
• Experience in vendor management, RFQ processing, BOQ analysis, techno-commercial evaluation, and price negotiation.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment such as transformers, CT/PT, circuit breakers, isolators, and control panels.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement for Power T&D, substations, switchyards, transmission lines, and renewable energy projects.
• Analyse RFQs, tender specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
• Float enquiries, obtain vendor quotations, and conduct techno-commercial evaluations.
• Prepare comparative statements and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

• Manage vendor development, purchase orders, material planning, and procurement documentation.
• Support estimation teams with material costing and cost optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Maintain procurement MIS, vendor records, and ERP/SAP documentation.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Diploma in Electrical, or BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement within the Power, Transmission & Distribution (T&D), EPC, or Renewable Energy sectors.
• Hands-on experience in procurement for substations, switchyards, transmission lines, solar, wind, BESS, or other power infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment such as transformers, CT/PT, circuit breakers, isolators, and control panels.
• Experience in vendor management, RFQ processing, BOQ analysis, techno-commercial evaluation, and price negotiation.
• Candidates from Power T&D, EPC, Substation, and Renewable Energy companies preferred.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP/SAP procurement systems.
• Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
