Job summary

The Akaar Co. in Delhi is seeking a proactive procurement professional to source products and materials, build vendor networks, and handle quotations and negotiations to meet customer and project requirements.

You will conduct vendor visits, verify product quality, and coordinate orders, production, dispatch and delivery, while maintaining strong supplier relationships and monitoring market pricing. This role often requires local travel in Delhi and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Source products and materials per customer/project requirements.
• Identify and develop new vendors, manufacturers and suppliers.
• Collect and compare quotations based on price, quality, specifications and delivery.
• Negotiate with suppliers for the best pricing and terms.
• Conduct field visits to vendors, manufacturers, markets and showrooms.
• Visit supplier locations to verify products, quality and availability.
• Coordinate with vendors for orders, production, dispatch and delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate repeat purchases.
• Travel locally for vendor meetings, market visits and procurement activities as required.
