Job summary

Scintilla Solar Corporation seeks a detail-oriented Purchase Officer to manage material planning, supplier vetting, quotations, and purchase orders for solar projects in India. You will coordinate with stores, accounts, and department heads to ensure timely procurement.

Key tasks include price negotiation, follow-up with vendors, quality coordination, documentation, and ensuring purchases stay within approved budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Purchase Planning: Identify material requirements based on project and department needs.
• Vendor Management: Find, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers.
• Quotation Management: Collect and compare quotations based on price, quality, delivery time, and payment terms.
• Purchase Orders: Prepare and issue purchase orders after receiving the required approvals.
• Price Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers for the best possible price and commercial terms.
• Material Procurement: Ensure required materials are purchased and delivered within the required timeline.
• Follow-Up: Regularly follow up with vendors regarding order status, dispatch, and delivery.
• Quality Coordination: Coordinate with the concerned department to ensure materials meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Inventory Coordination: Coordinate with stores/accounts to monitor material availability and avoid shortages or unnecessary purchases.
• Documentation: Maintain purchase orders, quotations, invoices, delivery challans, and vendor records.
• Cost Control: Ensure purchases are made within approved budgets and help reduce unnecessary costs.
