We are looking for an experienced Purchase Officer with a Mechanical Engineering background to manage procurement activities for engineering materials, machine components, production consumables, and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement

• Source and procure engineering materials, mechanical components, fabrication items, electrical and pneumatic parts, consumables, tools, and industrial equipment.
• Obtain quotations from multiple suppliers, prepare comparative statements, and recommend the most suitable vendor.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.

Vendor Development & Management

• Identify, evaluate, develop, and maintain reliable suppliers.
• Conduct regular vendor visits to assess manufacturing capability, production capacity, quality systems, and delivery performance.
• Develop alternate vendors for critical materials to strengthen the supply chain.
• Build long-term relationships with suppliers and resolve commercial or operational issues promptly.
• Prepare vendor visit reports and follow up on improvement actions.

Technical Coordination

• Read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Stores departments to understand procurement requirements.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain complete procurement records, vendor database, contracts, and purchase documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and tatutory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits related to procurement
