Job summary

Premnath Rail is seeking a proficient purchase engineer to review technical specifications, plan and procure mechanical materials for our railway and manufacturing projects. You will coordinate with vendors PAN India, manage PRNs, ensure timely purchase orders and maintain stock levels according to MSL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4-6 years of procurement/purchase experience in mechanical industry.
• Experience in Automobile, Railway & Manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Seeking reliable vendors or suppliers to provide quality goods, negotiating prices and contracts.
• Receive Purchase Requisition Notes (PRN) from Production team.
• Make list of available material and informing the same to Production Team.
• Ensure that the purchase order is approved, entered correctly in time and emailed to the suppliers.
• Ensure that the products ordered from vendors PAN India are received on time.
• Ensure consumable items required on regular basis are stocked as per Minimum Stock Level and are ordered once the item goes below MSL.
• Reviewing technical specifications for raw materials, mechanical equipment's.
• The candidate will be in a constant touch with vendors and suppliers for procurement and is also be responsible for store and inventory management.
• Must closely coordinate and report to in-house purchase department.
