Job summary

Mobase Electronics India Pvt Ltd invites a proactive Buyer to manage procurement of automotive components, raw materials, and related materials. You will source from approved suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure timely availability while meeting cost and quality targets.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in automotive procurement, hands-on experience with SAP, and strong Excel reporting skills. You will coordinate supplier performance, drive cost reductions, and support inventory optimization

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Buyer to manage the procurement of automotive components, raw materials, consumables, and related materials. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials from approved suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, ensuring timely availability of materials, and maintaining cost and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Management

• Coordinate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, quality issues, and payment terms.
• Support supplier development and evaluation activities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• On-time material availability / supplier delivery performance
• PO processing and turnaround time
• Inventory optimization
• Reduction in line stoppages due to material shortages

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in automotive procurement / purchase / Buyer.
• Experience in automotive components or manufacturing is preferred.
• Good knowledge of supplier management, and Part followup.
• Working knowledge of SAP systems; SAP experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and reporting.

Preferred Technical Knowledge

• Automotive components and manufacturing processes
• Sheet metal, machining, plastic, casting, forging, fasteners, electrical/electronic components, or other relevant automotive parts
• MRP / inventory concepts
