Job summary

Maxxis Tyres is seeking a proactive Purchase & Store professional with 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor development, supplier management, and inventory control. The role requires hands-on RFQ/RFP management, supplier negotiations, SAP operations, and capital/MRO procurement.

Experience in automotive components and importation is preferred, with strong Excel and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate with 3+ years in Purchase, Procurement, Sourcing and Store operations.
• Experience in Automobile / Tyre / Automotive Components / Manufacturing industry preferred.
• Hands-on in RFQ / RFP, quotation evaluation and commercial negotiation.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and Import Procurement.
• Strong SAP proficiency and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop reliable sources for materials, components, MRO items and services.
• Drive strategic sourcing initiatives for cost optimization, quality improvement and timely availability.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, evaluate quotations and prepare commercial comparisons.
• Negotiate price, payment terms, lead time, quality and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Manage end-to-end procurement activities from sourcing to PO issuance and delivery follow-up.
• Oversee Store and Inventory management and SAP transactions.

Job description

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Purchase & Store professional with 3+ years of relevant experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Vendor Development, Supplier Management, Material & Capital Procurement, and Store/Inventory Management.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in sourcing new suppliers, vendor development, RFQ/RFP management, commercial negotiations, SAP operations, and procurement of materials, MRO items and capital purchases. Candidates from the Automobile, Tyre, Automotive Components or Manufacturing industry will be preferred.

Role & responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

• Identify and develop reliable sources for materials, components, MRO items and services.
• Drive strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve cost optimization, quality improvement and timely availability.
• Conduct RFQ/RFP processes, evaluate quotations and prepare commercial comparisons.
• Negotiate price, payment terms, lead time, quality and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Manage end-to-end procurement activities from sourcing to PO issuance and delivery follow-up.
  

Vendor Development & Supplier Management

• Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery and capability.
• Drive Vendor Development / Supplier Development initiatives for new and existing suppliers.
• Develop alternate and local sources to reduce dependency and improve supply continuity.
• Monitor supplier performance and coordinate for timely resolution of quality, delivery and commercial issues.
• Maintain strong and long-term vendor relationships.
  

Material & Capital Procurement

• Handle procurement of raw materials, production-related materials, consumables, MRO items and indirect materials.
• Manage Capital Procurement / Capital Purchases including machinery, equipment, tools and related services.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Finance and other functions for procurement requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement as per project and operational requirements.
  

Import Procurement & Incoterms

• Handle import procurement activities, documentation and supplier coordination.
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics and internal stakeholders for timely shipment and delivery.
• Good understanding of Incoterms, international sourcing and import processes.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with applicable procurement requirements.
  

Store & Inventory Management

• Manage day-to-day Store and Inventory operations.
• Monitor stock levels, material movements, consumption and replenishment requirements.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, traceability and documentation of materials.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Planning, Production, Warehouse and other departments to avoid material shortages and excess inventory.

SAP & MIS

• Perform Purchase and Store-related transactions in SAP.
• Prepare and maintain MIS, procurement reports, supplier performance reports and inventory reports.
• Track open POs, pending deliveries, stock levels and procurement status.
• Ensure accuracy and timely updating of procurement and inventory data.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate in any discipline; B.E./B.Tech. Mechanical preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Purchase, Procurement, Sourcing & Store operations.
• Experience in Automobile / Tyre / Automotive Components / Manufacturing industry preferred.
Strong hands-on experience in Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Development.
• Experience in Supplier Development and Vendor Management.
• Good knowledge of Material Procurement, Capital Procurement and MRO Procurement.
• Hands-on experience in RFQ / RFP, quotation evaluation and commercial negotiation.
• Good understanding of Incoterms and Import Procurement.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
