Role Summary

As our order volume grows, we are splitting the purchase function so it can scale. Rate negotiation and costing will continue to sit with our existing Purchase & Costing Manager; this new role takes over the execution and logistics of purchasing releasing purchase orders, following up on deliveries and ensuring the correct quality documents arrive with every consignment. It is an ideal entry point for a detail-oriented person (a B.Pharm fresher included) who is reliable on follow-ups and keen to take on more responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase execution & logistics (core of the role)

• Release purchase orders (POs) accurately and on time once rates are finalised by the Purchase Manager.
• Follow up rigorously with suppliers on order confirmation, dispatch and delivery timelines.
• Track pending orders and proactively chase any delays so production is never held up for materials.
• Collect and verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and required documents for every incoming consignment.
• Coordinate with stores/QA on goods receipt and flag any shortfalls or discrepancies.

Records & coordination

• Maintain organised records of POs, suppliers, deliveries and documentation.
• Keep the Purchase Manager and production team updated on order status.
• Coordinate with transporters/couriers and resolve routine logistics issues.

Growth path

• Take on additional procurement responsibilities progressively — vendor coordination, basic sourcing support and process improvements — as capability develops.
