Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy invites applications for a Purchase Engineer - Project based in Mehsana, Gujarat. The role requires BE Mechanical with at least 7 years of experience in tube or related industries, handling supplier qualification, RFQ issuance, and techno-commercial bid analysis.

You will negotiate terms, issue purchase orders, and manage orders through ERP/Excel trackers while coordinating international procurements and risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in tube or similar industries in project environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify suppliers for machinery, spares, and materials (furnaces, pilgers, raw tubes) from India and other countries.
• Prepare and issue detailed RFQs with technical specs, drawings, and terms; analyze bids for techno-commercial evaluation.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranties to optimize project costs.
• Issue purchase orders, amend contracts, and track order status using ERP/Excel trackers.
• Manage vendor performance, conduct audits, and develop alternate sources for risk mitigation.
• Coordinate import logistics, customs clearance, and insurance for international procurements.
• Maintain cost databases, conduct value engineering and report savings weekly; collaborate with engineering for spec finalization.
