- Job Title: Purchase Engineer (1-3yrs)
We are seeking a Purchase Engineer to join our Pune Unit. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in industrial automation / Control Panel Builder / Electrical /Electronic Products Purchase activities.
As a Purchase Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the purchase & procurement process of goods and services for our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to identify cost-effective solutions while maintaining the highest quality standards and adhering to company policies and Purchase & procurement ethics. Candidate will be responsible to Float Enquiries, Follow up for supplier prices, Create PO and follow up for supplier Deliveries.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Purchase and Procurement Strategy Development: to meet business needs.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and select vendors based on their capability, pricing, quality, and reliability.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key vendors and negotiate favorable terms and conditions to secure advantageous contracts.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing agreements with suppliers, optimizing value while minimizing risk and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various requesting departments, including finance, to understand their procurement needs and provide solutions to support their objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks related to geopolitical factors, economic fluctuations, Pandemics and supplier dependencies.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines throughout the procurement process
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, optimizing processes, and implementing best practices.
Requirements:
- Diploma /Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Electrical/Electronics and telecommunication/Mechatronic Engineering).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in corporate procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with a proven track record of successful projects and cost savings.
- Preferred from Panel Builders/Manufacturing / electrical background.
- Comprehensive knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiations, and supplier management.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools like ERP/TALLY /MS EXCEL
