Ingersoll Rand plc in Delhi, India, is seeking a Projects & Proposal Engineer to drive techno-commercial offers and tenders in support of the sales team. You will review enquiries, prepare proposals, coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Production, Quality and Logistics, and manage vendor quotes to ensure timely submissions and smooth project execution.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree and 5+ years of tendering experience in industrial equipment, preferably pumps, with

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical.
• 5+ years of proposal and tendering experience in industrial equipment.
• Experience with pumps or similar fluid handling equipment.
• Strong knowledge of tendering, proposal preparation, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Review customer enquiries and ensure timely quotations and tenders.
• Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals per specs.
• Maintain and update customer contact databases.
• Visit customers for technical discussions and negotiations.
• Monitor orders and ensure post-order documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors for quotes and information.

• Follow up to expedite approvals and resolve issues.
• Maintain records for audits and future reference.
• Support sales and business development to drive growth.

Job Summary

The Projects & Proposal Engineer is responsible for monitoring the preparation and timely submission of techno-commercial offers, tenders, and proposals while providing continuous support to the sales team.

Responsibilities

• · Review and monitor customer enquiries to ensure timely preparation and submission of quotations, bids, and online/offline tenders.
• · Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals in compliance with customer specifications and tender requirements.
• · Maintain and update customer and client contact databases.
• · Visit customers for technical discussions, clarification meetings, and techno-commercial negotiations.
• · Monitor project orders and ensure timely submission, resubmission, and approval of post-order documents.
• · Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotations, technical information, and post-order documentation.
• · Liaise with internal departments such as Engineering, Procurement, Production, Quality, and Logistics to ensure smooth project execution.
• · Track order progress and support timely delivery of products and services to customers.
• · Follow up with customers and internal stakeholders to expedite approvals and resolve technical or commercial issues.
• · Maintain records of proposals, tenders, orders, and project documentation for future reference and audits.
• · Support sales and business development activities to achieve organizational growth targets.

Basic Qualifications

• · Technical qualification: Engineering degree in Mechanical.
• · 5+ years of experience in proposal and tendering in industrial equipment, ideally with experience Pumps or similar fluid handling equipment.
