Job summary

Hydro Prokav Pumps, part of Ingersoll Rand, seeks a Purchase Engineer to drive end-to-end procurement for catalogue parts (pumps) and manage PR to PO cycles. Focus on supplier on-time delivery and quality, with aggressive cost negotiations and supplier management to ensure seamless goods receipt and payment processes.

The role requires 6–8 years in manufacturing, strong cost-knowledge, and proficiency in MS Office/ERP tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering (preferably FT).
• 6-8 years of experience in manufacturing Industry (preferably from OEM’s / project / site procurement).
• Manufacturing process and costing knowledge – clear understanding on the specifications in the catalogue parts
• Experience in handling OE suppliers with understanding on pricing stragety
• Effective communication with suppliers towards the achievement of business goals
• Proficiency in MS office / ERP tools.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for PR to PO conversion and tracking POs to ensure timely delivery.
• Sourcing, development, pricing and supply of catalogue parts –that include Motors, Gearboxes, geared motors, Safety valves, mechanical seals, control panels, filter, coolers, instruments etc
• Ensure supplier OTD and Quality rating to meet departmental objectives to keep inventory intact
• Monitoring commodity / market trends to arrive at the price corrections
• To identify alternative suppliers / process to arrive at better pricing and deliveries
• Responsible for end-to-end transactions till part acceptance and payment
• Engaging with OEMs / dealers in arriving at the right price and meeting the required delivery with clear understanding of the customer specifications and its adherence

Job Summary:

As a Purchase Engineer, you will drive the end-to-end procurement process, from converting purchase requisitions (PR) to managing purchase orders (PO), with a core focus oncatalogue parts (limited to pumps). Your primary objective is to maintain operational efficiency by ensuring 100%Supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD)and high-quality standards. You will be responsible for aggressivecost negotiations, suppliers’ management also for seamless management of goods receipt processes and ensuring payments. Experience in project procurement preferred.
