Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc is seeking a Senior Application Engineer in Naroda to support Sales teams with technical and commercial tendering for air compressors and related solutions. You will prepare competitive offers, coordinate with engineering and factories, and manage suppliers to ensure cost, quality and schedule targets are met.

The role requires 12+ years of experience, a BE in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Electrical, and strong collaboration and negotiation skills to navigate engineered-to-order

Qualifications

• BE degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Electrical.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in tendering or sales support.
• Experience in compressor/industrial equipment tendering and proposals.
• Ability to interface across Sales, Engineering, and Projects.

Responsibilities

• Support Sales teams technically and commercially in tendering for air compressors and auxiliaries.
• Prepare technical and competitive commercial offers to customers.
• Coordinate with Sales, factories, and engineering during negotiations; compile price make-up schedules.
• Manage third party suppliers to meet cost, quality and schedule during quotation.
• Transfer orders to the project team for execution.

JOB Description:-

This role requires an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual interested in working closely with Sales Teams to support them both technically and commercially in the position of Tendering Engineer in Air Compressors, air treatment and solutions.
The application Engineer will have the responsibility with the sales team to design and select suitable offerings involving compressors and auxiliaries (Dryers, cooling towers, filters). He or she will prepare the technical and competitive commercial offer to customer.
She/he will be required to interface between Sales, factories, engineering during the negotiation stage and be responsible for compiling suitable and accurate Price Make Up schedules.
She/he will also manage any third party suppliers to achieve the required costs/quality/schedule expected by the customer during the quotation phase.

The tendering engineer is also responsible to transfer the order to the project team which will follow the project execution.

Important note: This being business critical support function, engineers taking up this role need to have product knowledge, should be able to handle various complexities linked to ETO enquiries.

Basic knowledge of Centrifugal air compressors, Rotary and Oil Free units

Follow and execute the Gate Process for Engineered To Order enquiries and orders.
