Job summary

Hydro Prokav Pumps India Pvt Ltd, part of Ingersoll Rand, seeks a proposals and estimation specialist in Coimbatore. You will manage product selections, prepare quotes, tender documents, and orders by coordinating with customers, sales, operations and engineering teams to meet booking targets.

The role requires 3-5 years in proposals and strong knowledge of product specifications, chemicals compatibility, and process adherence. On-site work with a collaborative team environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field required.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in proposals and estimation, preferably in similar industrial products.
• Chemical compatibility knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Interpret enquiries and RFQs from existing and prospective customers to establish understanding of requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Commercial and Project Managers to evaluate technical risk and commercial terms.
• Prepare RFQs for suppliers/subcontractors against specs and terms.
• Compile tender specifications with prices, conditions, deviations, and technical specs for presentation to customer.
• Monitor progress and status of proposals and keep Proposals Manager informed.

Job Summary

This position will be responsible for product selection, quotes, tendering and order acquisition activities by closely working with customers, sales team, operations and other stakeholders in fulfilling booking targets.

Responsibilities

• Interpret enquiries and requests for quotations from existing and prospective customers to establish an initial understanding of the customer’s requirements.


• Build further understanding of requirements by liaising with customers.


• In line with product decision, determine the key objectives and possible options to be covered in the proposal, coordinating the supply of necessary information, organizing the various estimates, and defining the scope of supply.


• Reviewing the project specifications to arrive at the complete technical requirements of the customer.


• Work in partnership with Engineering, Commercial and Project Managers as appropriate to need to evaluate technical risk and commercial terms.


• Prepare RFQ’s for suppliers/subcontractors against specs and T&C’s


• Compile comprehensive tender specifications defining prices, commercial conditions, comments and deviations and technical specifications for presentation to the customer.


• Support Sales Manager/Sector Managers /Sales Engineers during the bid-process.


• Act as focal point for customer queries regarding Proposal submission, to reach agreement and build a positive on-going relationship.


• Monitor progress and status of Proposals, maintaining accurate records and keeping the Proposals Manager fully always informed.


• Support Project team during handover of Proposals that have resulted in orders.


• Maintain internal Quality systems as relevant to the processing of enquiries and proposals.


• Ensure that Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management policies and procedures are adhered to in all work undertaken

Basic Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field required


• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in proposals and estimation, preferably in similar industrial products


• Chemical compatibility knowledge
