Job summary

Zeppelin Systems is urgently seeking a Planning Manager (Third Party Contract) for EPC projects based in Vadodara, Gujarat. The role requires 8–12 years in project planning and scheduling, B. Tech - Mechanical, and hands-on experience with P6, MS Project and PMS.

SAP experience is preferred and involvement with design, procurement and construction teams is expected. The candidate will develop baseline schedules, monitor progress, manage time, cost and scope, and report to the GM Project Planning

Qualifications

• B. Tech - Mechanical with experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Hands-on in P6, MS Project and PMS.
• SAP experience preferred.
• 8–12 years of experience in project activities from grassroots level in chemical/petrochemical/refinery contexts.

Responsibilities

• Develop baseline critical path schedules with resource loading and progress measurement.
• Plan and schedule activities using MS Project or Primavera.
• Monitor progress and communicate to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with design, procurement and construction contractors.
• Assist cost engineers with timing information for cost forecasting accuracy.
• Ensure project timelines and budgets are met and reported.

URGENT Requirement - Project Planning Manager (Third Party Contract)

• Requirement: Third-Party Contractual Requirement (through Zeppelin)
• Position Title : Planning Manager
• Contract Duration: 1 Year / till client requirement
• Project Details : Overall EPC
• Work Location : Vadodara (Gujarat)
• Expected Mobilization: Immediate / ASAP
• Qualification : B. Tech - Mechanical with an experience in Project Planning and Scheduling
• P6, MS Project & PMS hands on experience are must
• Experience in SAP is preferred
• Years of Experience: 8-12 years, Should have experience of project activities from grassroots level.
• Facility : Food, Accommodation, Transportation by the candidate
• Working Hrs. : 8 Hrs. / Per day, six days a week

Job Purpose

Responsible for all planning related activities for ongoing and upcoming projects. Manage time, cost and scope without any deviation. Track monitor and control project related deliverables, Procurement and Construction activities for meeting company strategic & operational objectives.

Major Activities

• Work with Design consultants and Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contractors in developing baseline critical path schedules and progress measurement
• Complete resource-loaded schedules to ensure standards of productivity are utilized in the schedule
• Understanding and following schedule management best practices
• Project planning & implementation on the basis of Basic Engineering Package.
• Planning & scheduling the activities using the MS project / Primavera
• Monitoring the status of the project and communicate the relevant information to stakeholders
• Responsible for assigned project from the initial development. This will require meetings with users to fully determine their needs & fulfilling the same.
• Conducts project review meetings & identify the issues that come up and plan countermeasures.
• Preparing all presentations to convey the plans and schedules to the project team and stakeholders
• Assisting the project team with the evaluation of reported progress and status of critical activities with particular attention to deviations from planned activities
• Assist cost engineers with timing information for cost forecasting accuracy
• Developing and recording the project's historical schedule information and lessons learned to be used in closeout and for future use
• Supporting selection of Design consultant & construction contractors.
• Planning of New projects & preparation of budgetary project proposals with overall cost estimation.
• Responsible for overall monitoring of Project purchase & expediting.
• Project co - ordination with design, contractors, equipment suppliers, consultants & accounts department.
• Meeting the timelines of the project with defined budget cost by setting up major goals and objectives of projects & by monitoring, reporting & ensuring to complete the projects.

8-12 Years of experience in the field of Chemical / Petrochemical / Refinery Project planning, designing, vendor development for project execution.
