Job summary

Trehan IRIS in India seeks a Planning Manager to develop and monitor project schedules, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. You will coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction and client teams, perform critical path analysis, and prepare weekly/monthly reports.

The role requires 6-10 years of experience in planning for Ultra Luxury, Commercial or Residential projects, with strong Excel and CPM/EVM expertise. On-site with domain exposure preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project for planning and monitoring.
  • Advanced Excel for data analysis and dashboards.
  • Thorough CPM understanding and scheduling techniques.
  • Experience in resource planning, allocation and leveling.
  • Familiarity with EVM for performance measurement.
  • Ability to conduct risk analysis and mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Prepare baselines, WBS, milestones and baselines.
  • Monitor progress against the approved schedule and update regularly.
  • Perform critical path analysis and identify delays.
  • Prepare recovery plans for schedule slippages and track progress.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction and client teams.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, dashboards and S-curves.
  • Analyze manpower, equipment and resource requirements.
  • Support managers in planning and forecasting activities.
  • Participate in project reviews and provide schedule updates.
  • Maintain planning documentation and records, ensure contractual compliance.

Job description

The Planning manager is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The role involves coordinating with project teams, tracking progress, identifying schedule risks, and providing accurate reports to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Prepare baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project milestones.
  • Monitor project progress against the approved schedule.
  • Update schedules periodically based on actual site progress.
  • Perform critical path analysis and identify potential delays.
  • Prepare recovery and mitigation plans for schedule slippages.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and client teams.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and S-curves.
  • Analyze manpower, equipment, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor project productivity and performance indicators.
  • Support project managers in planning and forecasting activities.
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide schedule updates.
  • Maintain planning documentation and project records.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual scheduling requirements.
  • Prepare Baseline Budget, Actual cost incured and Cost To complete and track monthly

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, NICMAR is added value
  • 6-10 years of planning and scheduling experience (depending on position level)
  • Experience in Ultra Luxury project, Commercial, and Residential Mandatory, Infra experience is not required
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for project planning, scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and dashboard preparation.
  • Strong expertise in project schedule development, monitoring, and control.
  • Thorough understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) and project scheduling techniques.
  • Experience in resource planning, allocation, and leveling.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) for project performance measurement.
  • Ability to conduct project risk analysis and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in project budgeting, cost monitoring, and financial tracking.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
