Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

Prepare detailed project schedules using MS Project / Primavera, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Develop resource allocation plans and monitor progress against project targets.

Identify potential risks, delays, and constraints, and recommend corrective actions.

Ensure all projects are completed within approved timelines and budgets.

2. Design & Approval Coordination

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, and design teams for timely release of drawings.

Maintain drawing registers and version control to ensure execution is based on approved drawings.

3. Project Monitoring & Reporting

Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress and highlight schedule or cost variances.

Prepare MIS reports, progress reports, and project status updates for management.

Track project performance against planned schedules and milestones.

Support procurement teams with material planning and delivery schedules.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

Coordinate effectively between project sites, design teams, procurement, contracts, finance, and management.

Conduct project review and coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and site teams.

Ensure smooth communication among stakeholders and resolve project-related issues promptly.

Align project execution activities with business and sales commitments.

5. Cost, Quality & Contract Management

Analyze technical drawings and prepare material and cost estimates.

Monitor contractor and vendor performance against agreed schedules and deliverables.

Negotiate with vendors and contractors to obtain competitive pricing and services.

Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project specifications.

Support quality control, safety compliance, and budget management initiatives.

6. Team Management & Communication

Delegate tasks and provide guidance to project teams.

Monitor workforce productivity and address performance gaps.

Schedule and attend project meetings as required.

Maintain effective communication with managers, supervisors, consultants, and stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 5 years of experience in construction planning and project coordination.

Proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera P6.

Strong knowledge of project scheduling, resource planning, and progress monitoring.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
