Job summary

Skillbook Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager for water supply infrastructure projects in Jharkhand, India. The role requires 18+ years in infrastructure/water supply project execution and hands-on leadership of large schemes, with preference for Jharkhand-specific urban water experience.

The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end execution—from planning and procurement to commissioning and handover—ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery while coordinating with clients,

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 18+ years of infrastructure/water supply project execution experience.
• Experience in JJM / Rural Water Supply / Urban Water Supply schemes preferred.
• Candidates with Jharkhand Urban Water Supply / Urban Infrastructure experience will be given priority.
• Strong knowledge of WTP, Intake Well, ESR/OHSR, CWR, pumping stations, pipeline networks and distribution systems.
• Experience in end-to-end project execution, commissioning and handover.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, project scheduling, contract management, billing, claims and EOT.
• Ability to manage project teams, contractors, consultants and government authorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale water supply scheme projects.
• Plan, schedule and monitor project progress.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and government departments.
• Manage manpower, machinery, materials and subcontractors.
• Ensure quality, safety, cost and timeline targets.
• Handle technical, contractual and site-level issues.
• Monitor billing, variations, claims and project documentation.
• Ensure successful testing, commissioning and final handover.
