Job summary

SYSTRA India seeks a highly experienced GIS Project Manager / GIS Expert to lead end-to-end GIS-based master planning for urban development. You will design workflows, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate with planners, engineers, data scientists, and government stakeholders.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Geoinformatics/GIS/Remote Sensing, has 10+ years of experience, and has managed at least three GIS-based town planning projects.

Qualifications

• Masters in Geo- Informatics/ GIS/ Remote Sensing from recognized university.
• 10 years’ experience minimum.
• Handled at least 3 GIS-based plans for towns.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end execution of the GIS-based Master Plan, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Design and implement GIS workflows, spatial databases, and analytical models to support urban planning and infrastructure development.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, engineers, data scientists, and government stakeholders.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality outputs.
• Conduct spatial analysis, remote sensing interpretation, and geostatistical modeling to inform planning decisions.
• Prepare and present technical reports, maps, dashboards, and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure data accuracy, metadata documentation, and compliance with national geospatial standards.
• Stay abreast of emerging GIS technologies and recommend tools to enhance project efficiency.

Currently, we are bidding for Urban Planning projects across India. The position of Project Manager?GIS Expert is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties
