SYSTRA is seeking a seasoned Team Leader/Project Management Expert for PMC delivery in India. The role demands steering large road infrastructure programs, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams and ensuring timely, cost-effective outcomes.

You will interface with clients, World Bank/ADB, and stakeholders, oversee technical design reviews, and guide site-specific construction approaches. Candidates should have 20+ years’ experience, international exposure, and a proven record in externally funded

Qualifications

• Postgraduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized national/international institute.
• Minimum of 20 years of professional experience with large road infrastructure projects.
• At least 10 years’ experience as Team Leader / Project Director / Project Manager in planning, design, and implementation of large-scale roads & highways outside India.
• International experience of at least 10 years in managing large-scale road projects, including climate-resilient roads in challenging terrains.
• Prior experience as Team Leader/Project Director in World Bank, ADB, or other externally funded infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the PMC team, plan, schedule, and manage the budget to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Serve as the primary liaison with the Client, World Bank team, other departments, and stakeholders, overseeing all technical and managerial aspects of the assignment.
• Coordinate communication, resolve conflicts, and provide regular progress reports.
• Guide and motivate the PMC team, review technical designs, and adapt construction methods to site-specific conditions.

Currently, we are bidding for Road projects across India. The position of Team Leader and Project Management Expert is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

Profile/Skills

• Should be Postgraduate (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Road construction, or a related field from a recognized national / international institute.
• Should have Minimum of 20 years of professional experience with strong track record of managing large road infrastructure projects.
• Should have at least 10 years’ experience as Team Leader / Project Director / Project Manager in planning, design, and implementation of large-scale roads & highway infrastructure projects outside India.
• Should have International experience of at least 10 years in managing largescale road projects, including in climate-resilient roads and highways in hilly or challenging terrains.
• Should have prior experience as Team Leader/Project Director in World Bank, ADB, or other externally funded infrastructure projects.
