Job summary

Virtusa in Chennai seeks an experienced Senior Program/Project Manager to own end-to-end account delivery, bridging Strategic Execution, Business Analysis, and Quality Engineering Leadership.

You will be the single point of accountability for governance, client relationships, and financial health, driving requirement elicitation, cross-functional QA oversight, testing strategies, automation, and quality benchmarks aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Formulate and baseline WBS, project plans, resource plans, and effort estimations across multi-track initiatives.
• Define boundaries, manage baselines, and control scope creep through formal change control processes.
• Manage project and account P&L, budget forecasting, billing, resource utilization, burn rates, and margin optimization.
• Proactively identify, track, and mitigate delivery risks, dependencies, and operational bottlenecks.
• Champion Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, and ensure predictable velocity and release cadence.
• Serve as the trusted delivery partner and primary liaison for client leadership, product directors, and executive sponsors.
• Conduct regular steering committee reviews, cadence calls, and status reporting, ensuring full transparency on milestones, risks, and budget.
• Manage competing priorities across business, operations, and technical teams to reach consensus.
• Partner with business stakeholders and product owners to capture high-level business goals, user journeys, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Translate complex business needs into epics and user stories, maintaining end-to-end Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
• Ensure technical implementations directly satisfy underlying business objectives and functional specifications.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and multifaceted Senior Program/Project Manager to take ownership of large-scale account delivery. This hybrid leadership role bridges the gap between Strategic Project/Program Execution, Business Analysis, and Quality Engineering Leadership.In this role, you will be the single point of accountability for end-to-end program governance, client relationship management, and financial health.
