Job summary

L&T Precision Engineering and Systems seeks a Project Engineer to drive installation, commissioning, maintenance, and execution of advanced defence projects. You will develop detailed project plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and serve as the main liaison with suppliers to ensure timely progress and quality outcomes.

The role requires hands-on experience with naval defence systems, mechanical/electrical knowledge, and strong site coordination abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in project planning and execution.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and with suppliers.
• Experience with I&C and preventive maintenance in naval defence systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems in defence ships.
• Strong communication and site coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resources.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and align with organizational goals.
• Participation in Dispatch activities, JRI.
• Act as primary contact for cross-functional teams and suppliers, providing regular progress updates.
• Assemble and manage project teams and ensure effective communication.
• Site coordination for installation, commissioning and site support.
• Experience in I&C, preventive maintenance, defect rectification of Weapon System.
• Experience of working inside defence shipyard.
• Ex-servicemen with electrical background (preferable).
