Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a project management professional for naval systems, responsible for planning, execution, quality assurance and site support. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, suppliers, and shipyard operations to ensure timely delivery of complex defence projects.

Applicants with naval defence experience, mechanical/electrical system knowledge, and ex-servicemen with electrical background are preferred; travel and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in project planning, execution and coordination.
• Knowledge of naval defence mechanical/electrical systems.
• Experience in shipyard/defence environment.
• Ex-servicemen with electrical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute detailed project plans with scope, objectives, timelines and resources.
• Ensure deliverables meet required quality standards.
• Participate in dispatch activities and JRI.
• Coordinate supplier and cross-functional communications and provide updates.
• Lead and coordinate project teams for effective collaboration.
• Site coordination for installation, commissioning and site support.
• Experience in I&C, preventive maintenance and defect rectification of weapon systems.
• Experience of working inside defence shipyards.
• Ex-servicemen with electrical background preferred.

Handling Project Management Of Naval System With Following Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution : Develop detailed project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resources required for successful project execution.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and align with organizational goals.
• Participation in Dispatch activities , JRI
• Supplier & Cross functional Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for cross functional or supplier, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns that arise.
• Team Coordination: Assemble and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
• Good Knowledge of Mechanical / electrical system of Naval defence System
• Site coordination for installation, commissioning and site support.
• Experience in I&C, preventive maintenance, defect rectification of Weapon system.
• Experience of working inside defence shipyard.
