Job summary

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh, is seeking a project management professional for naval systems. You will plan, execute and coordinate multidisciplinary teams for defence shipyard installations, commissioning, and sustainment.

The role requires 6–9 years of experience, a Diploma in Engineering, and a preference for ex-servicemen with electrical background. You will liaise with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of relevant experience in project management.
• Diploma in Engineering is required.
• Ex-servicemen with electrical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans to outline scope, objectives, timelines and resources.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and align with goals.
• Participate in dispatch activities and JRI.
• Serve as primary contact for cross functional or supplier teams and provide updates.
• Assemble and manage project teams for effective communication.
• Apply good knowledge of mechanical and electrical naval defence systems.
• Coordinate site installation, commissioning and site support.
• Experience in I&C, preventive maintenance and defect rectification of weapon systems.
• Experience of working inside defence shipyards.

Job Description

Handling project management of Naval system with following responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Execution : Develop detailed project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resources required for successful project execution.

2. Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and align with organizational goals.

3. Participation in Dispatch activities , JRI

4. Supplier & Cross functional Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for cross functional or supplier, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns that arise.

5. Team Coordination: Assemble and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.

6. Good Knowledge of Mechanical / electrical system of Naval defence System

7. Site coordination for installation, commissioning and site support.

8. Experience in I&C, preventive maintenance, defect rectification of Weapon system.

9. Experience of working inside defence shipyard.
