Job summary

MPS Precision Engineering in Bengaluru, India, seeks a manufacturing engineering lead to own projects from drawing release, review feasibility, and develop end-to-end manufacturing processes and plans.

You will identify vendors, coordinate tooling procurement, plan development activities, run trials, resolve technical issues, and ensure a smooth handover to Production and Quality before regular production.

Responsibilities

• Take complete ownership of the project once the drawing is issued.
• Review drawings and conduct manufacturing feasibility analysis.
• Develop the complete manufacturing process and process plan.
• Identify and develop suitable vendors for raw material, tooling, special processes, and subcontract operations.
• Coordinate procurement of tools, fixtures, gauges, and other project requirements.
• Plan and monitor all development activities as per the project timeline.
• Conduct trials, prove out the manufacturing process, and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality for inspection and validation of the developed part.
• Optimize the process for quality, cycle time, cost, and productivity before regular production.
• Successfully hand over the proven and approved process, along with all documentation, to the Production team.
