Qualifications

  • Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Job description

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and optimising manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves working closely with Design, Production, NPI & Quality teams to implement process improvements, introduce new products, and ensure smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes for safety, efficiency, and quality.
  • Design and implement process layouts, Line balancing, tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Conduct Customer input requirements, check the manufacturing feasibility, Bom Review & MFG Cost preparation for PCBA & Box build assemblies
  • Analyze production data to identify areas of improvement and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing, design teams for New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and support preventive maintenance initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (ISO, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Provide technical support and training to production teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
  • 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
  • Experience in process automation
  • Work experience in EMS for PCBA & Box build Mfg for Automotive, Aerospace & Medical products
  • Hands-on experience with PFMEA, control plans, and statistical process control (SPC) & MSA
