Job summary

BASE Automation is seeking a Field Service Engineer to serve as the primary technical contact for customers in the Pune region. You will handle calls, emails, and service tickets related to automation systems, ensuring timely remote or onsite resolutions.

The role requires 4–6 years in automation/automobile ancillary industries, with hands-on experience in Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi PLCs, HMI, and SCADA. Strong English/Hindi communication is essential.

Qualifications

• BE in EEE/ECE/E&I with automation focus.
• 4–6 years of experience in automation/ automobile ancillary industry.
• Good English and Hindi communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical contact for customers in the assigned region (Pune).
• Handle customer calls, emails, and service tickets related to CRM applications or system issues.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer-reported problems through remote or onsite support.
• Conduct regular AMC visits as per schedule.
• Attend breakdown calls promptly and restore system functionality within the defined SLA.
• Prepare and submit detailed service visit reports (installation, AMC, breakdown, or remote support).
• Maintain site-wise issue logs, RCA documents, and follow-up reports.
• Update CRM service trackers and ensure closure of service tickets with customer acknowledgment.
• Cover customer sites located within the Pune regions as per service schedules.

• Maintain site-wise issue logs, RCA (Root Cause Analysis) documents, and follow-up reports
• Update CRM service trackers and ensure closure of service tickets with customer acknowledgment
• Cover customer sites located within the Pune regions as per service schedules

Qualifications

• Must be a BE (EEE/ECE/E&I) with a strong focus on automation and control systems.


• At least 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in automation / automobile ancillary industry


• Good oral and written communication skills in English/Hindi are essential.

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with Rockwell, Siemens, or Mitsubishi PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.


• Knowledge of AC/Servo Drives, commissioning, and motion control integration.


• Proficiency in EtherNet/IP, Modbus (RTU/TCP), and PROFINET communication protocols.


• Familiarity with Studio 5000, TIA Portal, GX Works/GT Designer, and MS Office.


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in industrial automation systems.
