Job summary

Samvith Technologies in Bengaluru seeks an experienced automation engineer to drive PLC programming and SCADA testing for plant control systems. You will coordinate with mechanical and project teams, prepare functional descriptions, and ensure timely delivery.

Travel to client sites is required, with responsibilities for updating drawings and AS BUILT documentation, plus leading on-site installation and commissioning of projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in installation & commissioning of industrial plant control systems.
• Experience with Siemens and Rockwell Automation products.
• Electrical LT panel and PLC control panel troubleshooting.
• Standards applicable to food processing machinery.
• PLC-based automation systems involving Siemens, Allen Bradley, or B&R.

Responsibilities

• Be the starting point of automation jobs on projects.
• Travel to sites as project needs dictate.
• Coordinate with mechanical and project teams for inputs.
• Prepare functional descriptions and operating manuals for plant control systems.
• Manage time and track changes with the project manager.
• Update drawings and documents after site return and send as-built to customer.
• Upgrade software to global standards for local and international use.
• Lead installation and commissioning of assigned automation projects.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• To be the starting point of all Automation jobs
• Required Travelling sites based on projects need
• To coordinate with mechanical & project teams for consolidating all relevant inputs for starting a project
• Preparation of the functional description and operating manual for the plant control system process.
• Managing the time, keeping the account of extra time spent on account of additions, deletions, modifications, rectifications and helps the project manager
• Updating the drawing and documents immediately after returning form site and send AS BUILT to customer.
• Continuously upgrades the software used in automation engineering to that of Global standards to suit local condition as well international requirement.
• Contribute in time and cost saving for the projects Maintains up to date records for any logic / hardware changes made at site and get it corrected in master project documents.
• Take lead in installation & commissioning of automation projects as assigned by the team leaders

Preferred candidate profile

• 5+years in installation & commissioning of industrial plant control systems
• Programming of PLC and visualization (SCADA) testing.
• Commissioning of PLC based control systems in continuous process plants (SCADA system, distributed control system, Centralized control system).
• Hands on experience in configuration, development projects based on Siemens and Rockwell Automation products
• Electrical LT panel and PLC control panel trouble shooting and site modifications
• Standards as applicable to food processing machinery

Professional competency (Language, ED)

• PLC based automation systems ( Siemens , Allen Bradley, B & R )
• Computer literate and Visual Basic, SQL
