Job summary

Vinayak Consultancy Service is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with 7–12 years of civil construction experience to manage billing, BOQ, and cost control for large-scale projects in Surat.

You will prepare bills, reconcile quantities, and update schedules using MS Project/Primavera P6, while coordinating with site teams and subcontractors to ensure timely progress and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering specified.
• 7–12 years of relevant experience in building construction.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction, quantity surveying, billing, BOQ, rate analysis and project planning.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel; experience with MS Project/Primavera P6 preferred.
• Experience in residential, commercial, high-rise or large-scale building projects.
• Good communication, coordination, analytical and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify client RA bills and subcontractor/contractor bills based on site measurements and approved BOQ.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, measurement sheets, bill abstracts, BOQ, rate analysis, and quantity reconciliation.
• Check and certify executed quantities at site.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
• Prepare project schedules, monthly work programs, and look-ahead plans.
• Monitor planned vs. actual progress and identify delays or deviations.
• Prepare and update project schedules using MS Project/Primavera P6.
• Prepare variation, deviation, extra-item, and reconciliation statements.
• Monitor project quantities, costs, and material consumption.
• Prepare material reconciliation for steel, cement, concrete, and other major materials.
• Coordinate with site, commercial, procurement, accounts, consultants, and subcontractors for billing and project progress.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQ, and contract documents for billing and execution requirements.
• Maintain proper records of measurements, bills, work orders, approvals, and project documentation.
• Assist in cost control, forecasting, and project planning activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 712 years of relevant experience in building construction.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction, quantity surveying, billing, BOQ, rate analysis, and project planning.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel; experience with MS Project/Primavera P6 preferred.
• Experience in residential, commercial, high-rise, or large-scale building projects preferred.
• Good communication, coordination, analytical, and documentation skills.
