Job summary

Vista Developers Mumbai Llp seeks an experienced Senior Billing Engineer for real estate and construction projects in Mumbai. You will handle contractor billing, site measurements, BOQ verification, and cost control from drafting through final bill settlement.

Responsibilities include preparing RA/FInal Bills, rate analysis, variation statements, cost reporting, and collaboration with project teams to ensure accurate, timely billing in line with drawings and contracts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and check RA Bills and Final Bills for contractors/subcontractors.
• Take site measurements of civil, structural, finishing and MEP works.
• Verify quantities against drawings, BOQs and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain Measurement Books (MB) and quantity records.
• Check bill quantities, contract rates, specifications and taxes.
• Prepare rate analysis for extras and additional works.
• Identify quantity variations and prepare variation statements with approvals.
• Check material consumption, wastage and reconciliation of materials.
• Calculate recoveries for company materials, advances, retention and penalties.
• Coordinate with site, planning, QS, design and project teams for verification and approval.
• Ensure billing aligns with latest drawings, work orders and contracts.
• Monitor project quantities and costs against budget; report variations.
• Assist in monthly cost reports and cash-flow projections.
• Verify contractor bills with site team and recommend for certification.
• Prepare and close final accounts including payments and recoveries.
• Obtain No Claim/No Dues certificates where required.
• Assist PM and QS in handling contractor claims and billing disputes.
• Maintain proper billing records and contractual correspondence.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Billing Engineer for our real estate and construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for contractor billing, site measurements, BOQ verification, rate analysis, cost control and final bill settlement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and check contractor/subcontractor RA Bills and Final Bills.
• Take site measurements of civil, structural, finishing and MEP works.
• Verify quantities against approved drawings, BOQs and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain Measurement Books (MB) and quantity records.
• Check bill quantities, contract rates, specifications and applicable taxes.
• Prepare rate analysis for extra items, substituted items and additional works.
• Identify quantity variations and prepare variation statements with necessary approvals.
• Check material consumption, wastage and reconciliation of steel, concrete and other materials.
• Calculate recoveries for company-supplied materials, advances, retention, penalties and other deductions.
• Coordinate with site, planning, QS, design and project teams for bill verification and approval.
• Ensure billing is based on the latest approved drawings, work orders and contract documents.
• Monitor project quantities and costs against the approved budget and report any major variations.
• Assist in preparing monthly cost reports and cash-flow projections.
• Verify contractor bills with the site team and recommend them for certification.
• Prepare and close final accounts, including payments, recoveries, retention and outstanding claims.
• Obtain No Claim/No Dues Certificates wherever required.
• Assist the Project Manager and QS team in handling contractor claims and billing disputes.
• Maintain proper billing records, supporting documents and contractual correspondence.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 48 years of relevant experience in billing and quantity surveying in real estate or construction projects.
• Good knowledge of contractor billing, RA Bills, Final Bills, BOQ, MB, rate analysis and quantity reconciliation.
• Experience in residential, high-rise or commercial building projects preferred.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Ability to read construction drawings and understand contract documents.
• Good coordination, analytical and documentation skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in real estate development companies, builders, or construction firms, particularly in residential and commercial building projects, will be preferred.
