Job summary

Maxwell Water Tech Pvt Ltd in New Delhi is looking for a hands-on Mechanical Project Coordinator with experience in Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), water treatment plants, pumping stations and rural water supply projects. The role covers coordination from engineering and procurement through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.

The candidate will manage mechanical equipment in WTPs, pumping stations, and water supply schemes, coordinating contractors, vendors, consultants and site teams

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and piping systems used in WTP projects.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical GA drawings, P&IDs, equipment drawings and layouts.
• Knowledge of BOQ, quantity estimation and material reconciliation.
• Good project coordination and site management skills.
• MS Excel, MS Word and AutoCAD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day mechanical activities for JJM and water treatment plant projects.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Mechanical Engineers, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Procurement and QA/QC teams.
• Review mechanical drawings, layouts, equipment specifications, BOQs and technical documents.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery of mechanical equipment and materials as per project requirements.
• Monitor installation, erection, alignment and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate mechanical piping works, equipment erection and interconnection activities.
• Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project schedules.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for equipment installation and commissioning.
• Monitor project progress and prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Identify delays, technical issues and site constraints and coordinate corrective actions.
• Coordinate inspection of incoming equipment and materials with the QA/QC team.
• Ensure proper equipment alignment, leveling, grouting, lubrication and installation as per manufacturer recommendations.
• Coordinate pre-commissioning, trial runs, testing and commissioning activities.
• Assist in preparation and closure of inspection requests, punch points and snag lists.
• Maintain records of equipment installation, testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate with client, consultants and government representatives during inspections and site reviews.
• Support preparation of as‑built drawings, O&M documentation, test reports and project handover documents.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and site procedures.
• Travel to project sites across India as required.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Coordinator with hands‑on experience in Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), water treatment plants, pumping stations and rural water supply projects. JJM / Water Treatment Experience

The candidate should preferably have experience in Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) / rural drinking water supply projects, including one or more of the following:

• Water Treatment Plants (WTP)
• Pumping and mechanical equipment installation
• Water treatment and pumping infrastructure

JJM supports infrastructure such as water treatment plants, bulk water transfer and distribution networks as part of rural piped water supply systems.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and piping systems used in WTP projects.
• Good understanding of pumps, valves, pipelines and mechanical erection.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical GA drawings, P&IDs, equipment drawings and layouts.
• Knowledge of BOQ, quantity estimation and material reconciliation.
• Good project coordination and site management skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments, contractors and vendors.
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
• Good reporting and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and AutoCAD.
• Ability to work at project sites and handle site‑related challenges.

Preferred Experience

• 510 years of total experience in mechanical project execution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in water treatment / water supply projects preferred.
• Experience in JJM projects will be highly preferred.

Educational Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a hands‑on Mechanical Project Coordinator who has worked on JJM / WTP / water supply projects in India and understands mechanical equipment erection, piping, pumping systems, commissioning and project coordination. Candidates with strong site execution experience and the ability to independently coordinate mechanical activities at project sites will be preferred.
