Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator (Mechanical Engineer) with strong technical knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil engineering. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, execution, multidisciplinary coordination, monitoring project progress, and providing regular project updates and appraisals to Project Owners and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor overall project activities from planning through execution and completion.
• Prepare project plans, schedules, milestones, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate effectively with Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil engineering teams.
• Review project requirements, drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, and execution plans.
• Ensure smooth coordination between engineering, procurement, construction, vendors, contractors, and site teams.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays or bottlenecks.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities to avoid interface issues and ensure timely execution.
• Conduct regular project review meetings and follow up on action points.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and other resources required for project execution.
• Ensure project activities are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
• Identify project risks, technical issues, and execution challenges and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly project progress reports.
• Provide regular project status updates and appraisals to Project Owners and senior management.
• Coordinate with Project Owners, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Support cost, schedule, quality, and resource monitoring throughout project execution.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of project records.
• Support commissioning, completion, handover, and project closure activities.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable technical standards.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and project execution.
• Working knowledge of Electrical and Civil engineering activities and their interfaces with mechanical works.
• Strong understanding of project planning and scheduling.
• Good knowledge of project execution, coordination, and monitoring.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings, layouts, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of project reporting and progress tracking.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel; knowledge of project planning software such as MS Project/Primavera will be an advantage.
