Role Description

The Mechanical Project Coordinator is a contract, on-site role based in Uttar Pradesh, India. This role is responsible for coordinating mechanical project activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication between engineering, construction, and client teams. The coordinator will assist in preparing and reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, and documentation, and help ensure that project milestones, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. Daily tasks include tracking project progress, supporting site inspections, documenting issues, and facilitating resolution with relevant stakeholders. The role also involves collaborating with senior engineers on water, wastewater, and related infrastructure projects to support timely and compliant project delivery.

Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical engineering foundation with experience in coordinating project activities, preferably in water, wastewater, power, or infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation, and report on progress and issues clearly.
  • Knowledge of project management practices, including scheduling, resource planning, and basic cost monitoring.
  • Familiarity with safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements related to mechanical and environmental engineering projects.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, clients, and contractors on-site.
  • Proficiency with common engineering and office software tools (e.g., MS Office, basic CAD exposure is an advantage).
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; prior experience in EPC or PMC environments is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Uttar Pradesh, India, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
