Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Mumbai seeks an experienced Facade Engineer to review architectural shop drawings and structural calculations for complex high-rise façades, ensuring performance, safety, and quality on-site.

This role requires extensive knowledge of curtain walls, glass facades, and coordination with MEP teams, with a strong emphasis on design integrity and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• 15–18 years of hands-on experience in high-rise commercial spaces and luxury hotel façades.
• Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Architecture; postgrad façade certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM workflows, and structural analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Design & Engineering: Review architectural shop drawings, structural calculations, and thermal/acoustic performance for unitized curtain walls.
• Project & Vendor Management: Lead contractor bidding, tender evaluations, BOQs, contract negotiations, and project scheduling from concept to final handover.
• Quality & Safety Compliance: Oversee factory fabrication, mock-up testing (air/water infiltration), and on-site installations to meet safety codes.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Interface between primary structural frames, interior design teams, and MEP consultants to resolve clashes on-site.

Key Responsibilities & Expertise

• Design & Engineering: Review architectural shop drawings, structural calculations, and thermal/acoustic performance parameters for unitized curtain walls, stone cladding, and retail glass facades.
• Project & Vendor Management: Lead contractor bidding, tender evaluations, BOQs, contract negotiations, and project scheduling from concept to final handover.
• Quality & Safety Compliance: Oversee factory fabrication, mock-up testing (air/water infiltration), and on‑site installations to meet local and international safety codes.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Interface between primary structural frames, interior design teams, and MEP consultants to resolve clashes on‑site.

Requirements

• Requirements for 15-18 Years Experience Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture (Post‑graduation or specialized Façade Engineering certification is a strong plus).
• Sector Exposure: Direct hands‑on execution of high‑rise commercial spaces, luxury hotels with complex architectural geometries, and high‑footfall retail complexes with expansive storefront glazing.
• Technical Software: Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM workflows, and structural analysis software.
• Location: On‑site –Mumbai, MH
