Job summary

Larsen & Toubro Ltd is seeking a production supervisor for shift activities in Tamil Nadu. The role involves coordinating with stores, quality control, and related departments to ensure smooth production flows.

The candidate should have hands-on welding knowledge (SMAW, TIG, MIG, plasma transferred arc, submerged arc), familiarity with drawings and process layouts, and exposure to Lean concepts such as JIT, Kanban, SMED, and VSM. End-to-end management of activities is expected.

Responsibilities

• Take care of Shift Production activities with the junior employees.
• Interaction with Stores, Quality control & related departments.
• Responsible for Safety, 5S & general discipline. Knowledge on machineries, welding, assembling of Valve components.
• Knowledge on drawings, process layouts, basic material.
• Knowledge on testing, interaction with third party inspectors, Lean concepts, like JIT system, Kanban, SMED, VSM.
• Knowledge In welding - SMAW, Tungsten Inert Gas, Metal Inert Gas Welding, plasma transferred arc welding, Submerged arc welding is mandatory.
• Coordination with planning & ensure daily output in terms of Plan Vs Actual.
• Ensure 100 % adherence to the monthly production & revenue plan.
• Should be able to handle employees based on their skills.
• End to end handling of activities is expected.
