Job summary

Llm Appliances in Chennai is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to coordinate daily production plans, set up lines for new products, and ensure safety and discipline on the shop floor. The role requires hands-on leadership in light engineering manufacturing and a strong focus on cost control and cycle-time reduction.

You will collaborate with PPC and maintenance, drive 5S practices, supervise manpower, and support NPD activities.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical or DME degree required.
• 5–10 years in light engineering manufacturing.
• Knowledge of 5S; TPM experience desirable.
• Experience in production planning and scheduling.
• Strong housekeeping, safety awareness and discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with PPC and plan daily production schedule.
• Set production line for change of products.
• Take first of approval and proceed.
• Ensure quality in production.
• Manpower management on the shop floor.
• Complete production as per schedule.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to keep all machines running without breakdowns.
• Maintain employee discipline, PPE compliance and safe operations.
• Maintain lane discipline and housekeeping; prevent spills and leaks of coolant, burrs and lubricants.
• Aiming at cycle time reduction.
• Drive process improvements and cost control.
• Support New Product Development activities initiated by the NPD department.
