Job summary

Stud Craft in India is seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily and weekly production planning, maintain data records, and drive KPI improvements on the shop floor.

The role involves training operators, managing manpower, maintaining 5S, and coordinating with QA for quality control and audits. Prior experience in manufacturing/mass production is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing / mass production.
• Minimum 4 years experience as Production Manager.

Responsibilities

• Attend Sunrise and Sunset meeting with MDT.
• Prepare weekly shift chart for machine operators.
• Plan daily/weekly production per despatch schedules.
• Daily verify DPR and update data in soft format.
• Daily verify process log sheet and update data in soft format.
• Verify preventive maintenance activity and maintain records.
• Maintain stock of tooling and spares; raise requisitions when required.
• Daily update tool history card and MC history card.
• Monthly monitoring of KPIs: in-house rejection, rework, breakdown.
• Prepare action plans for negative KPI trends.
• Monitor rejection data and with QA to reduce rejections.
• Participate in feasibility studies for new components.
• Train new operators.
• Manpower handling.
• Follow all Work Instructions related to Production.
• Get training about RM grades, sizes and applications.
• Ensure proper 5S on shop floor.
• Face internal and third-party audits.

Monthly monitoring of KPIs In-house Rejection, Rework, breakdown

Prepare Action plan for negative trends in KPI

Monitor rejection data & prepare action plan, alongwith QA team, to reduce rejection

Active participation in team feasibility for new components

Give training to new operators

Manpower handling

Follow all Work Instructions related to Production

Get training about different RM grades, sizes and their application

Ensure proper 5S on shop floor

Face internal audit and third party audit

Preferred candidate profile

Worked in manufacturing / mass production.
