Job summary

Mekr Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Kundli, Haryana, is seeking a Plant Head to lead end-to-end plant operations with a strong focus on production, productivity, cost control, quality and overall business performance.

The role requires hands-on leadership of a large-scale manufacturing setup in electronics, plastics molding and related sectors, driving planning, capacity utilization and OEE to deliver results. A robust leadership culture and performance-driven approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale manufacturing operations with ownership of plant performance.
• Strong ownership mindset for P&L, profitability, and cost control.
• Knowledge of PPC, Lean, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Six Sigma, OEE and QMS.
• Proficient with ERP/MRP, budgeting, cost control and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end plant operations, achieving production, quality and delivery targets.
• Own production planning, capacity utilization, productivity, OEE and CI.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, Maintenance, Warehouse and Dispatch.
• Develop and mentor Production Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and shop-floor teams.
• Monitor KPIs, manufacturing costs, wastage, downtime and profitability; report to leadership.

Role Overview

The Plant Head will lead end-to-end plant operations with a strong focus on production, productivity, cost control, quality, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end plant operations and ensure achievement of production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Must have handled production operations/business of 200+ crore scale with strong ownership of plant performance.
• Drive production planning, capacity utilization, productivity, OEE, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Dispatch for smooth operations.
• Lead and develop Production Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and shop-floor teams while building a high-performance culture.
• Monitor plant KPIs, manufacturing costs, wastage, downtime, and profitability; present performance and improvement plans to senior leadership.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong production-focused mindset with hands-on experience in leading large-scale manufacturing operations.
• Proactive and initiative-driven approach with the ability to identify opportunities and take corrective action independently.
• Strong P&L ownership mindset with focus on profitability, cost control, productivity, and business outcomes.
• Excellent leadership, people management, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
• High ownership and accountability with the ability to deliver results under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Good-to-Have Skills & Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• MBA in Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of PPC, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Six Sigma, OEE, and QMS.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, production MIS, cost control, budgeting, and inventory management.
• Experience in consumer appliances, electrical/electronics, personal care, automotive, or assembly-based manufacturing will be preferred.
