PMT Machines Ltd. is seeking an experienced CNC production engineer in India to oversee planning, control, and optimization of manufacturing operations. The role emphasizes Siemens 840D programming, CAM software usage, and process optimization to meet delivery schedules.

The candidate will lead production teams, coordinate with customers on projects, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring on-time production and quality adherence, including night-shift support when required.

Qualifications

• 10 years total work experience preferred.
• Proven ability to plan and control production operations.

• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and control production to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Monitor and improve machine efficiency (OEE) with daily reporting.
• Execute batch production processes with quality controls.
• Interact with customers and coordinate projects.
• Lead and manage production teams to ensure delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement in work processes.
• Schedule production orders considering material availability and machine capacity.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Production planning and production control to ensure smooth manufacturing operations

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of CNC programming and setting
• Experience in Siemens 840D Control (Setting & Programming)
• Ability to create CNC programs using CAM software
• Optimization of CNC programs and milling strategies in coordination with machine operators
• Experience handling large-size components and precision components

Operations & Quality:

• Monitor and improve machine efficiency (OEE) with daily reporting
• Implement and maintain quality plans and controls
• Ensure proper execution of batch production processes
• Capability to manage night shift operations when required

Project & Team Management:

• Handle customer interaction and project coordination
• Lead and manage production teams effectively
• Drive continuous improvement in work processes
• Build strong team spirit and collaboration

Other Requirements:

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Scheduling of production orders considering material availability and machine capacity
• Control, monitoring, and execution of production orders, including subcontracting activities
• Ensure on-time production and adherence to delivery schedules
• Prepare and maintain process sheets and production documentation
• Selection of appropriate tooling and machining strategies
